The essence of a successful environmental ad

Here is an imaginative ad from the folks at Greenpeace.

The layout allows the photo do most of the talking (we’re dumping way too much crap into the sea), a smart tagline reinforces the key message with an ironicĀ  twist, and there’s a call to action for the reader to get involved (come on board the Greenpeace website).

Simple, memorable and effective.
